In 2020, Futerra Makes collaborated with Mars Petcare to develop and launch Lovebug. The first nutritionally complete & balanced insect-based cat food from a major supplier.
Lovebug was carefully designed to provide cats with all the nutrition they need but with a markedly lower environmental footprint.
Futerra and Mars worked together to create a high-quality formulation, develop a disruptive brand, set up a D2C distribution, build the e-commerce system and run the marketing plan across the UK.
Lovebug was named The Grocer’s petcare launch of the year in December 2021.
