The ISO Net Zero Aligned Organisations Standard (ISO 14060) is a proposed draft standard and the world’s first international independently verifiable standard designed to help organisations develop credible and comprehensive net zero transition plans.
As currently written, ISO 14060 recognises that in addition to reaching organisational net zero, companies have a critical role to play in working toward global net zero. This goes beyond reducing their own Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Through their products and services, investments, policy engagement and public influence, businesses can help accelerate the transition to a net zero economy.
This broader view of climate action is captured through a company's Spheres of Influence: the areas where it can shape markets, behaviours and systems to drive meaningful change.
