Creating a reward driven training framework for one of aviation’s boldest sustainability leaders
Challenge
British Airways have one of aviation’s boldest sustainability strategies, BA Better World, but felt that they hadn’t yet engaged and upskilled their workforce to empower them to bring their unique skills to bear on delivering their goals.
Solution
Having walked through every BA function at Heathrow T5, we developed a full blended training package that was developed to suit the unique working environment and practices of each group of employees within their business.
Flight crews and maintenance teams got team talks before take offs and shifts. Office and terminal teams got to shape their own virtual learning journeys. Pilots got training content built into their professional training.
As an incentive, every BA employee got the chance to earn points through training that unlocked rewards for supporting BA Better World.
Impact
BA have now launched the programme across their business meaning that, whatever their role, their teams now have the knowledge and skills to make a difference.
