Bias Disclosure: Acknowledging our Bias in sustainability reporting

Futerra's Bias Disclosure is acknowledgement of our cultural biases and therefore the non-universality of our insights.

In Futerra's new Awesome Anthropocene Goals report we've included a Bias Disclosure statement. Because let's be honest - too much thought leadership and research currently uses 'we' as if it represents all of humanity. But 'we' is always a specific diversity, geography, education, language and lived experience. It's time to be clear who 'we' actually are (and who we aren't). The Bias Disclosure is an acknowledgement of our cultural biases and therefore the non-universality of our insights.

This disclosure is not stagnant. It will continue to evolve as we learn more for ourselves and from others.

If you would like to add your builds, alternatives and share your opinions on the bias disclosure, please contact: aisha@wearefuterra.com
